Why I cannot change several options of Net Control 2 Administrator: Broadcast Desktop port/channel; display driver acceleration; folder where the configuration will be stored etc. ?

Several options (marked with "*" asterisk in Control's Options window) may be stored only as a single setting for all users.To store these options the program or currently logged on user must have administrative privileges in the system.

For better security Windows Vista, 2008 and 7 by default run all programs with lesser privileges than administrative level provides, even if you are administrator. To provide the program with administrative privileges Net Control 2 Administrator Console should be run as administrator otherwise settings will not be stored properly.

To run the program as administrator:

- right click Net Control 2 shortcut on Desktop or in Start Menu;

- select Run as Administrator command from context menu;

- confirm the operation.
