Registered and educational customers may request us for special MSI Builder package, which allows to create a MSI package for client deployment in Active Directory environment

How to create custom MSI package.

  1. Installation

Net Control 2 MSI Builder includes components, which require Microsoft .NET Framework version 2 Redistributable Package installed on the computer, where the MSI package will be created.

The latest update for .NET Framework version 2 you can find on Microsoft's web-site:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en

The .NET Framework should be downloaded and installed before use Net Control 2 MSI Builder. And .NET Framework is not required on client computers, where the prepared MSI package will be deployed.


  1. Custom configuration profile

If the software is installed, run MSI Builder program from Start → All Programs → Net Control 2 → MSI → MSI Builder menu.

Click Create Client configuration button to create new configuration profile or browse for a profile saved on hard disk.

Click Next button


  1. Path to the MSI package


Specify a path to the file, where MSI Builder will store the prepared MSI package.

Click Next button


 

  1. Compilation

Click Build button to start compilation. The operation may take several minutes. At the end of compilation the software will open a folder where the MSI package is created.

Compilation log will be displayed in the MSI Builder window.
