Internet restrictions: how to allow only two web-sites and disable all others |

Example. We need to allow only the following web-sites: http://www.netcontrol2.com and http://www.netsoftware2.com.
First web-site have subdomains, like http://kb.netcontrol2.com, http://forum.netcontrol2.com and http://support.netcontrol2.com All other web-sites should be blocked. A. We need to create new restriction profile. 1. In Net Control 2 Administrator Console, click Restrictions button on top toolbar. 2. In Restrictions window, click Profiles button in "Access to Internet services" group: ![]() 3. In Send Profile window, click New button. ![]() 4. In Internet Access profile editor, click Add a rule button. 5. From a list of available rules, please select Enable Web-site, and specify a name of the web-site (domain), which should be allowed. Repeat the operation for all web-sites and domains: ![]() www.netsoftware2.com and netsoftware2.com are different domains and should be added separately. In addition, netcontrol2.com has several subdomains, and either all allowed subdomains should be added separately or we can use *netcontrol2.com mask to enable all web-sites, which have netcontrol2.com keyword in the web-site's name. Therefore, we need to enable the following web-sites: netsoftware2.com www.netsoftware2.com *netcontrol2.com ![]() Once a profile is ready, we need to Save it, clicking Save button of Internet Access profile editor. B. To send prepared above profile to users: 1. select user connections, where the profile should be applied. 2. click top toolbar's command Restrictions. 3. in Restrictions window, click Profiles button. 4. select our profile in the list of profiles. 5. click Send and Run button. |
