Remote Desktop feature failed with error message on user side "ERR: Video Hook Driver is not properly installed" |
||||
This error message may appear in several cases:
1. User computer was not restarted after installation. Please note, in the case of remote installation using MSI package or after remote update using Net Control 2 built-in update services, Video Hook Driver may be installed only after user logon. Therefore the driver will be loaded to system, only after restart of computer after driver installation. Solution: restart computer after installation Net Control 2 Video Hook Driver and before starting Remote Desktop session. 2. 64-bit version of Windows used. 64-bit versions of Windows require native 64-bit Microsoft's-signed drivers. Provided Video Hook Driver is not compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows XP/Vista/2008. 3. Windows Policy requires Microsoft's digital signature for all installed drivers. Solution: for Windows XP, click Control Panel -> System, open Hardware tab, click "Driver Signing" button, choose any option, excepting "Block". |
