1. Please verify that the Client Module of the software is installed on all computers, which will be controlled.
Particularly, Net Control 2 icon should be displayed in the System Notification area (System Tray, area beside the clock) of each user computer. Details...

2. Both Administrator and User computers should belong to the same group. To scan the network for available groups and computers, please use menu command (of Administrator module):
N -> Connections -> Search Groups.

In this case, Net Control 2 will create a list of groups in the network first, then will scan every group for computers within it.

3. Windows Firewall blocks scan requests or replies, sent from computers in your network.
To solve the problem, please verify that Net Control 2 is enabled in Windows Firewall on both administrator and teacher computers. For more information please click the following link.

4. Your network consists in several VLANs or the configuration does not support UDP Broadcast/Multicast protocol.

Possible solutions:
- use the Scan IP range command to scan the address space of your network: click Scan network button's sub-menu (on the left toolbar); in appeared menu click the Scan IP range menu command, and specify address range of your network. This operation may take enough long time.
- use User-connections mode instead:

if the software is already installed, please click N icon in the System Tray of client computer; then click the Configure menu command. In the Client Configuration dialog, on the Connection Mode tab verify that either "Incoming and User connections" or "User Connections only" mode is selected; in the "Specify IP address.." field (at right pane), specify one or several IP addresses or DNS names of Instructor computers (one address per line). Click OK. The specified teacher computers will be connected in 10-30 seconds and respective connection will be added to the teacher's workspace.

If the software is not installed, you can enable this mode by default. In the process of installation use the "Advanced Installation" mode, on the "Select Components" tab use "Service with MultiVLAN environment support" mode for User components. At the end of installation the software will prompt for IP addresses of teacher computers.
